Who / What Got You Started in Bowling?

Both of my parents got me into youth bowling when I was 5 years old. Began to be more competitive once I joined the adult leagues with the group of friends whom I still have that gave me that exposure to multiple levels of competition.

What Do You Love About the Sport?

I’ve always considered myself a competitive person. I’m always willing to adapt to change especially when I have no control over it. Seeing how the playing field, the environments, the talent, the styles, have all and continue to evolve will always have me as a student of this sport. Once more involved with the tournament side, making new friends and traveling to new places is some of the best priceless things you can gain around the sport.

Favorite Bowling Memory

Favorite memories are both of the 300s I’ve bowled at the USBC Open Championships. Having done it in my first set ever in 2014 (Team event), in the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, will always have a special spot inside of me. In 2019 during the Team Event in Las Vegas, South Point Plaza, having my “mob” there was probably the craziest celebration immediately after.

Who is Your Favorite Bowler?

My favorite bowler of all time is Norm Duke. The amount of touch, versatility, and patience on the lanes, is why I could watch him bowl all day. Watching his last shot on tv is likely the most emotional moment I’ve ever watched of all the telecasts I’ve seen.

Awards & Achievements

2 300s at the USBC Open (31st all time). Nation’s Capital USBC Champion (Team Event – Capt). Some of biggest wins are NoVA Playoffs Event in Alexandria VA, Winter Scratch Classic at Nellie Fox Bowl, VMSBT Marathon, Won US Open Regional Qualifier in 2013. Numerous local tournament wins. Best PBA Regional finish is 3rd (twice).

32 300s, 17 800s. Highest book average ever was 244. Have bowled 300s in multiple styles – no-thumb, two-handed, and traditional. Highest tournament average ever is 261 (over 6 games).
