Who / What Got You Started in Bowling?
My father, Robby Strombeck, is who got me into bowling. He joined the youth league at Village Lanes when he was a late teenager and then got a job there and became the general manager of the center and got my sisters and I and virtually our whole family into the sport.
Myself, my sister Emily, and my cousin Kristina as well as my dad are the ones that still bowl to this day.
What Do You Love About the Sport?
What I love about the sport is how many opportunities and great people that it can introduce you to. Without this sport, I more than likely wouldn’t have gotten a scholarship to college and would have never experienced the raw emotion and love and passion that this sport introduced me to. It has taken me all across the country!
Favorite Bowling Memory
My favorite bowling memory is probably winning MEAC Championships with my collegiate team my senior year. It just felt amazing to start my college journey winning MEACs my freshman year and then ending it winning it again senior year. We were a very talented and in synch team.
Who is Your Favorite Bowler?
My favorite PBA bowler has always been Norm Duke. He is just such a classy, humble, and amazingly talented bowler and he just seems like such a genuine caring individual and I have always admired his attitude on the lanes and off the lanes. My favorite PWBA bowler is my former coach, Kim Terrell Kearney.
How could she not be my favorite when I have gotten to know her on a personal level as not only a coach and player, but as a friend and a mentor. She has one of the most genuine heart and spirit that anyone could have and she has done so much for me as a bowler and as a human being. She is the greatest.
Awards & Achievements
I won the Pepsi tournament several times in my youth career and various other tournaments. I won MEAC championships with my team my freshman year of college, we finished runner up in the tournament my sophomore year and won it again my senior year. My high series is an 817 which i shot in practice but my highest series shot in competition was done in summer league and was an 803 series. I have shot very many 700s. My highest average has been a 228 in back to back summer league seasons that are sanctioned. In my last youth adult summer league (this is unsanctioned) i averaged a 234.
