I am 25 years old from Joliet, IL but I live in Jonesboro, AR because I am the assistant coach for Women’s Bowling at Arkansas State University!
My home center where I grew up bowling and started when I was 5 is Joliet Town and Country Lanes but I currently practice/bowl at The Social Jonesboro and Hijinx Game Night Reinvented. I’ve been bowling for mainly my whole life, give or take. I attended McKendree University from 2016-2020, and won the NCAA and ITC National Championships in 2017. I also made Junior Team USA in 2018. |
Growing up, bowling ran in my family. It seemed as though every part of my family had some tie in bowling. My dad has worked at my home center ever since I was born so I would spend all my free time there. My school bus even dropped me off there after school. I fell in love with the game at a young age and never looked back. |
There’s always something positive to take away from it. Whether it’s the impact you have on other bowlers, the impact other bowlers have on you, and just the community itself. I have lived in a few different places, and still the one thing that does not change are the bowlers. They still lace up after work for league, bowl tournaments on the weekends, and just love to bowl, whether they’re 9 or 79. I think that’s what makes it so special. |
I have so many memories that revolve around bowling, but for me it has to be when I made Junior Team USA and got to travel to the World Championships. Not only did my team win the gold medal, but it was just so exciting to meet other bowlers from other countries. |
I love watching Norm Duke. |
