I am 27 years old. I’m from Mound, Minnesota but like in Elko New Market, Minnesota currently, which is 30 minutes south of Minneapolis. Picked up the sport at age 16 and loved it ever since.
Grew up bowling at a 12 lane house called Country Club Lanes in Excelsior. Bowled 2 years of high school then went on to bowl collegiately at Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI then transferred to Minnesota State Mankato for 2 years until graduation.
Now I’m a pro shop operator in St. Paul and bowl competitively on the weekends.
My best friend got me into the sport. I thought throwing it straight for 180-190 consistently was going to beat everyone. Until my friend were shooting 230-250s then I switched my game plan. Threw it 2 finger like Tom Daughtery for a year then decided to put my thumb in the ball and have been doing that ever since.
This sport has given me everything that I have today. So many opportunities with careers and meeting the most amazing people in the sport has been such a blessing. I love going into to work every day, knowing that I can help people improve on their game, even if it’s a small tip. On the other side, the feeling of winning a big event like the state masters event is something that keeps me wanting to compete at a high level
My favorite memory has to be making matchplay at a big scratch doubles tournament in our state with my best friend. The person that started my passion and continues to support me, was just something special. It’s a hard event and the cut was well in the negative against some of the best bowlers in the state. It was a great moment when we looked at the final sheet and saw our names within the cut number.
I modeled my game after Marshall Kent. I saw him on the Scorpion telecast when he was still bowling in college and all I thought was, “I want to throw the ball like that”. So he’s been a big inspiration from the beginning. As I started to bowl locally, my favorite bowler to watch is Chad Nelson. He had a lot of success during the high roller days and is the definition of a grinder. The guy can shoot 230 on the hardest condition when everyone else is in the 190s and making it look hard. He’s been a great mentor for me within the last couple of years and helped me become the bowler that I am today.

Coolwick
My favorite collection right now is the Storm Black Label. I have the storm polo and the storm sweatshirt and they not only look amazing but feel amazing. The best part about Coolwick’s products is that they feel great from the start of a tournament or league session to the end.
It’s in the name COOLwick because I feel cool the entire time that I bowl.
